Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINA GARDNER (Jablonski) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christina Gardner on April 4, 2011 at the age of 63 years after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospice Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Left to cherish her memory forever is her husband Jim, son Rob (Jen) Jablonski and grandson Tyler from Vista, California, daughter Wanda (Dave) Nychyk, grandsons Taylor and Owen, Winnipeg, Manitoba; siblings residing in Poland and brothers Jozef, Janusz, Eugeniusz and sister Alina. Christina enjoyed travelling several times throughout Western Canada, Hawaii and countries in Europe. Two notable highlights were when Chris became engaged while travelling on a Gondola at the Lake Louise Resort. The other was when Rob and her shook hands with Pope John Paul at the Vatican in Rome. Since retirement many happy days were spent working in her flower gardens. Christina could change a normal yard into a park like setting with beautiful floral displays. Prayer Vigil will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, 315 Munroe Street, Winnipeg, MB. (corner of Brazier and Munroe Street). Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Alphonsus Church. Interment in Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street following the Mass. Special thanks to the palliative Care Unit staff at the Riverview Health Centre for continuous efforts in relieving the severe pain encountered by this disease.
