DENIS G. DELISLE On Thursday, March 31, 2011, Denis Delisle died peacefully at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, aged 87 years. Predeceased by his wife Anne (nee Dudar) in 2009 and siblings Lucille Fletcher and Benoit Delisle, he will be remembered by sisters Aurélie Lacharité of British Columbia, and Berthe Wiebe of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Jean (Marcel) Pattyn also of Winnipeg, extended families, and many friends. Denis was born in St. Norbert, MB to J. Emile Delisle and Irene (nee Joyal) on March 31, 1924. He was educated in St. Norbert and served his country with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War. He left Winnipeg in 1957 for Edmonton where he worked for over 30 years at Metal Fabricators and Welding. Denis enjoyed music and travelling. In retirement he compiled his family's history. Denis' wishes were that his body be donated to the University of Alberta for medical research. A private family gathering is planned in Edmonton. Thank you to the friends and family members for concern and assistance during Denis' illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
