Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNN HOWARD EMMERTON 1945 - 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lynn on April 5, 2011 at Stonewall hospital after a year long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Jennifer, son Patrick (Misty); grandchildren Patrick and Katie, brothers Terry (Elly), Danny (Nancy), Ken (Glenda) and sister Helen (Chris) Petre, sisters-in-law Sally and Elaine, loving aunt Kay, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, mother, brothers John, Bert and sister Nancy and brother-in-law Russell. He is also survived by extended McDonald family Ron (Cathy), Bob (Trudy), Ben (Judy), Randy, Jane (Jeff) Hudson, Heather (Andrew) Fercho and grandchildren Rodney, Clayton, Kyla, Colleen, Kelly, Stacie, Micheal, Danielle, Kalie, Austin, Peyton and numerous great-grandchildren. Also Harold and Barb Rathgaber and Tyler, Jeffrey and Chris. Lynn was born in Kincardin, Ontario. Lynn was a journeyman carpenter. He spent many years of dedication to his church and community, which was a big part in his life. It was these areas that lead him to be the loving man he became. He had a wonderful sense of humour and enjoyed making people around him smile and laugh. A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Brooklands Senior Centre, 1960 William Ave West. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Sparling United Church (1960 William Ave. West) or a charity of your choice. He was loved in life and will be missed by his family, friends and parishioners. MacKenzie Funeral Service, Stonewall is in care of arrangements.
