EDNA EILEEN MORTON Edna Eileen Morton, 84, died March 27, 2011 in Victoria, BC. Edna is predeceased by her husband Douglas and her daughter Jocelyn. Edna was born in Bolton, UK on November 2, 1926, the daughter of Mary O'Callaghan and Harry Morgan. She grew up in Winnipeg with dear friends Ruth, Mary and Gracie. Edna Mickey Morgan married Douglas G Morton in 1948 in England, where Douglas was attending art school. They returned to Canada from France in 1951 and resided over the years in Winnipeg, Calgary, Regina, Toronto and Victoria. Mickey and Doug had six children Mary Ruth, Nadene, Jocelyn, Cynthia, Taron and Douglas. Gramma' is cherished, and will be long-remembered, by her grandchildren: Mara, Daniel, Georgia, Brendan, Rachel, Chelsea, Molly, Nathan, Kalana, Miranda, Alin and Daniela. Great-grandson Jonas blows Gramma a kiss. Mickey Morton devoted her life fully to her family, creating wonderful homes that sheltered them for 60 years, homes that reflected her unique eye, her passion for art, and her love of beauty. Life-mate to Douglas Morton, Mickey was an essential force in his professional success as a visual artist. Her vigilance and practical wisdom were limitless. Edna Morton now happily rests beside her husband and their daughter Jocelyn, at the Royal Oak Cemetery in Victoria, BC. The bride kissed the goblet; the knight took it up.
