JAMES EDWARD OLIEN It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jim (1942 to 2011) on March 31, 2011 at the age of 69. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Arlene; son Rick (Kelly); daughter Lori-Anne; granddaughters Leia, Andrea, and Holly; brothers Bob (Sonja), Ken; sisters Karen (Bill), and Judy (Ralph). Jim was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Freda, and brother Ricky. He will sadly missed by many other family members and friends. He was employed with the Manitoba Telephone System for 32 years, retiring in 1994. Jim loved golf and also played senior baseball in his younger years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Many thanks to Dr. Guzman and all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital who cared for Jim. In honour of Jim's wishes, a private family service will take place at a later date. Jim, we will love you and will miss you dearly.
