RONALD MACRI Ron passed away on April 6, 2011 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 77. He was predeceased by his wife Jean (Nelson) in 1995, and his parents Sam and Mary Macri. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Larry Campbell (Jean), Lorna Barley, and Damian Macri (Lynda); grandchildren Dwayne (Darlene), Stewart (Cheryl), Tracy (Brian), Jodie, and Kelly; nine great-grandchildren; brother Tom (Norma); sister Jean Chunick, many nieces, nephews and friends. Ron lived most of his life in the North End. He served in the American military in Okinawa and then returned to Winnipeg where he worked as a musician and as a civilian employee of the Department of National Defense. The family would like to thank the staff of Amber Meadows and the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital 5th floor, Unit 4. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing Damian. I was checking to see if you're on facebook just to say hi and catch up and came across this. Yes, I still do remember your parents when I used to come over for a visit. Please accept my condolences, and hope you're doing ok. It's hard to lose your parents, I know that personally.
