Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA SAWATZKY (nee Friesen) January 22, 1939 - April 8, 2011 After a lengthy, degenerative illness, Hilda passed away peacefully April 8 at the age of 72 years. She is survived by her faithful and devoted husband of 50 years George B. Sawatzky and daughters Iris, Joyce, Pamela, Lynnette and their families. Hilda and George lived in many communities in southern Manitoba, most recently, Winnipeg. Hilda was active in their local church and enjoyed travelling to participate in short-term service assignments together with George. She will be deeply missed, but we celebrate that she has moved to her new home with her Heavenly Father. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church, Winnipeg. Donations in Hilda's memory may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.
