Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBLANCHE ALICE JUTRAS (nee KENNY) After a brief illness with her family by her side Blanche passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on April 6, 2011. She was born in Aubigny, MB in 1919. She is survived by her son Robert, his wife Sandy (Jaskow), two granddaughters, Rachelle (Jon Mazer) and Nicole. Also by her sister-in-law Armande (Claude Leveque) and son-in-law Yves Talbot. Also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1985, by her chosen daughter Debbie Talbot, by her brothers Maurice and Louis Kenny, sisters Jeannette Collins (Bernard), Denise Remillard (Gerard deceased), Gertrude Bauche (Eloi deceased). She taught schools in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. After marriage she lived in Letellier and Winnipeg, also spending a brief period in Brandon. She kept interested in sponsoring educational and church activities as well as taking good care of her family. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and after he passed away in Texas, she went with friends and relatives. In later years she enjoyed doing volunteer work and singing in choirs. Her final year was spent at Catherine Place where she enjoyed the good food and many new friends. A memorial service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, on Wednesday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. In keeping with Blanche's wishes, cremation has taken place and her remains will be buried with her husband in St. Norbert. In lieu of flowers if desired, donations may be made to L'Appel du Pauvre - C.P. 117 St Norbert MB R3V 1L5 or to a charity of your choice.
