Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES GEORGE OLSON Peacefully on Sunday morning, April 10, 2011 Charlie passed away with family at his side. Charlie was born on August 22nd, 1928. He spent his childhood years in Stonewall and his later years in Warren. He married Pearl Langrell in 1951 and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on September 29th of this year. Charlie is survived by his wife Pearl, son Chris, granddaughters Cortney, Carly (Mike) and Caitie, and Kendra Olson; daughter Lorelee (Howard) Chris (Sarah), Jacquie (Jesse), brothers, Ken and Clarence (Ethel); and sister Betty (Al); as well as sister-in-law Viv; and brother-in-law Laurie (Shirley); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. For his entire life, Charlie was fascinated with vehicles. He worked at Model garage with his father Hjalmer starting at the age of 12 years old and continued to be involved with the business of selling and fixing cars, trucks and machinery for the majority of his life. He worked for Chrysler Canada followed by the opening of his own garages in Warren and Stonewall, both named Olson Motors. During this time, he and Pearl bought a farm outside of Warren and lived there for 20 years where he continued to work within the motor vehicle industry but this time as a Western Canada Manager for Mazda Motors. Camping as well as many motor trips over the years covering many, many miles were something he loved to do. Driving was his most favourite pastime! In the last 31 years, he was a very proud employee of the Interlake School Division where he safely transported many students to and from the Warren Schools over the years. He recently retired in December. He will be missed by his family and friends. As per Charlie's wishes, a private family service will be held with interment at Warren Cemetery to follow at a later date. A celebration of his life for family and friends will be held during the summer. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu, people may wish to contribute to a charity of one's choice.
