HUBERT GEORGE POOLE Hubert George Poole, 88, passed away peacefully April 11, 2011 at Blomidon Court, Greenwich, NS. Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, he later resided in Abbotsford, BC. He was the son of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Parkes) Poole. Hubert was employed by Air Canada for 36 years as a mechanic where he worked in the finishing shop in both Winnipeg and Montreal. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a longtime member of the Ledgeview Golf and Country Club in Abbotsford where he will be missed by his many friends. Hubert was very handy and was known to his friends and neighbours as Mr. Fix It . He also enjoyed camping, and for many years travelled with Cecile from Abbotsford to California and Arizona in their RV. He is survived by his daughter Brenda (John) Reddy of New Minas, NS.; grandchildren: Lisa Reddy (Michael O'Neill) of Ottawa, ON and Michelle (Al) Young of New Minas, NS; great- grandchildren: Jackson and Ryan; brother: Arthur (Madeline) Poole of Winnipeg, MB. He was predeceased by his wife: Cecile (Desilets) and brother: Ken. There will be no visitation or funeral by his request. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hubert may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home Cremation Centre, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS.
