SHAUNA NORA - JEAN FOLEY (nee Boucher) September 11, 1953 - April 9, 2011 Suddenly and gently, Shauna lay her head to rest and may her soul to keep, passed away. Left to cherish Shauna's memory is her son Gordon; daughter Leigh; their father Richard; brothers Brad and Brett; sister Lindy and beloved parents Betty and Gordon. Shauna was born in Dauphin, MB and at a young age the family moved to Winnipeg. She was raised and educated in St. James and later at the U of M. She bought her first home in Winnipeg but then moved to Thompson, MB, to become pool manager of the Norplex Pool. This is where she met and married Richard Foley in 1983. In their time together they would live in Thompson, Winnipeg, Quenel, BC, Dauphin and Flin Flon. With her outgoing nature Shauna always secured employment helping the public i.e.: counsellor to children or manager of stores. She enjoyed volunteering her lifeguard skills for coaching swimming and aiding in whatever other sports her children were involved in. Shauna was currently working for Winnipeg Statistics Canada and lovingly tending to her parents. She travelled extensively throughout North America, abroad and wintered part of the year in her place in Texas. She loved gardening with a passion for flowers, was an avid cook, homemaker and from the mouth of babes loved to spoil her kids . A sharing of Shauna's warmth and spirit will be honoured on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Avenue. Donations in Shauna's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice or brighten someone else's day with Shauna's passion of flowers.
