Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTOINE (TONY) BENOIT Peacefully, in his sleep, at the Tache Centre on Sunday, April 10, 2011, Antoine Benoit passed away at the age of 88. Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife of 67 years, Madeline (nee DeRiviere); his son Ronald (Patricia); grandchildren, Nichole Buchannon (Jamie), Tonele Benoit; and his great-grandchildren, Casey, Branden, Nethaniel and Emma. He also leaves one brother Joseph (Agathe), many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Antoine was born in Mariapolis, MB, on September 5, 1922, son of Eugene and Anna (nee Desrochers). In 1944 he married Madeline and settled on a farm in Greenway, MB. In 1958 he moved to Winnipeg with his family and worked for Eatons for 25 years and Pulak Furniture. Antoine and Madeline enjoyed many years at their cottage at Falcon Lake where he enjoyed fishing and boating. Antoine was a hard-working man who was always willing to help others. He was predeceased by his brothers, Maurice, Aime, Doria, Paul, Alexandre, Henry and two brothers in infancy. At his request, no formal service will be held. Interment will be at St. Alphonse, MB at a later date. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Tache Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
