STUART JAMES (JIM) MUNRO It is with a heavy heart that I announce the very sudden passing of my beloved Jim on April 8, 2011 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 63. Besides his loving wife Linda, Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Cathy Munro (Keith Meridith), Sheila (John) Gray, Debbie Munro (Charles Hand), Grace (Bob) Murphy, Pat (Greg) Needen; and his two brothers, Bruce (Pauline) and Kevin (Shirley) and numerous nieces and nephews; his children, Richard, Joe, Nathan and Nadine (Eddie Miller), his many grandchildren; his stepchildren, Ken Hill (Sandra Navarro) and Kerry Borsa, as well as his two step-grandchildren. Jim was predeceased by two sisters in infancy and his parents, Stuart and Audrey. Jim was born in Lachine, Quebec, May 8, 1947. He spent his early childhood in Pointe Claire then later in Ill Perrot. Jim moved to Winnipeg in 1972 and worked many years as a cook in various northern Manitoba camps. This was a job Jim loved. Most recently, he was employed at CTR part-time. Jim loved to cook for his family and friends. His love of the outdoors would often find him at Fort Whyte and Oak Hammock Marsh where he would spend many hours enjoying nature. Listening to the music of the 1960s was one of Jim's greatest passions. It was a time in history that he absolutely cherished. Jim loved to garden and was so looking forward to planting his new gardens. He was an avid soccer fan and had the opportunity to see his favourite team Manchester United play in Toronto. Playing cards and getting together with family and friends was another of Jim's favourite past times. Jim was a member of the Zipper Club that he and fellow recovering heart patients formed eight years ago. Jim loved life and everything life offered. Thank you to those whom initially responded, thank you to the paramedics and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for all their kindness and caring in those difficult first hours. Thank you to my children and grandchildren for their love and support and to Tex and Sally for being there when I needed you. Jim loved you all. Jim will be remembered for his sense of humour and generosity. Jim, I will love you always. You were the love of my life and you often said you were here to entertain me, and that my love, you did. Thank you for the dance and our beautiful life together. God keep you always in His care. In compliance with Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal funeral service. A private family interment has taken place. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
