JAMES BRYAN TURNER (as written by Jim) After a long and valiant struggle with cancer Jim died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:01 a.m. at Riverview Health Care Centre surrounded by his family. Left to cherish Jim's memory is his loving wife Wendy; son James M. Turner (Tina); granddaughter Mae Kristin Jo-Anne Turner; grandson Jake John Turner (born April 12, 2011); daughter Kristin D. Olsen (Dana); soon to be granddaughter Addison Ruby-Anne Olsen, due June 29, 2011; mother Ruby M. Turner; sister Dawn Mooney (Mike); nephews Ryan and Blair; father-in-law Murray Bater (Dianne); mother-in-law Elsie Joyce. Special mention by grandpa is to his two year old granddaughter Mae, who brought to the family (but especially to her grandpa) the miracle of life, hope and happiness. Jim had three lifelong true friends Bruce, Tom and Pete. He so wants them to know how very much he appreciated and valued their friendship. He also would like to thank Barry and Rita Levendosky for good times, laughter and great butter tarts. He is predeceased by his father James Turner. Jim was 58 years old born at St. Boniface Hospital in 1952. He was an avid sports nut . His passion was fishing and hockey. In the early days Jim and his father-in-law Murray were the best of golfing buddies and in more recent times they have spent many hours listening to music, talking and watching their sports. Jim was a family man. His family was everything to him and he was so very proud of his children and the choices they have made in their lives. He will be sorely missed. His spirit was strong and always upbeat and positive. He hoped he had taught his children to never give up and to always do your best believe in yourselves. In compliance with Jim's wishes there will be no Funeral Service but it was his wish that if anyone would like to make a donation he would ask they consider the Children's Wish Foundation. Rest in peace our beloved Jim, Husband, Dad, Son, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend
