Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN HENRY FAST February 3, 1949 - April 11, 2011 John, son of Henry and Anna Fast, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Left with sad hearts and fond memories are his siblings Ann (Glen), Linda (Walter Porky ), Rudy (Linda), Tony (Joanne) and Angela (Shaun). He was uncle to nine nieces, one nephew as well as four great-nieces and nephews. It was time with his nieces and nephew that would bring out glimpses of John's inner child. John was born in Chilliwack, BC, spent his school years in Winnipeg and as career changes dictated, moved to Yellowknife and Iqaluit for the majority of his working years. Upon retirement John returned to Winnipeg five years ago and rekindled old friendships while keeping in touch with his northern friends. John was a constant support to his parents and will be dearly missed. Memorial service will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, 570 Sharon Bay, Winnipeg. The family gratefully declines flowers. A donation may be made to a charity of one's choice. Rest well Big Brother
