Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySISTER JEANNE D'ARC NAULT (SOEUR GABRIELLE-LUCILLE) With deep sadness, les Filles de la Croix announce the passing of Sister Jeanne d'Arc Nault at Foyer Valade on April 13, 2011 at the age of 82. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Louis, and sisters Anna Lallier, Antoinette, Solange Skrumeda and Lucille Clément; brothers-in-law David Lallier, Alex Skrumeda, Arthur Clément and Robert Barnabé. Remaining to mourn her passing is her sister France Barnabé, the members of les Filles de la Croix, nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. Sister Jeanne d'Arc was born on September 24, 1928, at Saint-Pierre-Jolys to Albert Nault and Louise Goulet. As the youngest of the family, she was much loved. She remained attached to her childhood, cherishing many lasting memories of her parents and home life. She loved nature and the outdoors. Every living creature was precious to her - a stray cat, a friendly dog, a little flower or a green plant. These inspired her creative spirit which she expressed in craft work and knitting. After her formation and taking her first vows in 1950, she entered the teaching profession. Her dedication and her joy of giving were enriched by 35 years with the little ones. Solid preparation was the key to her task as a teacher and the achievement of her students. Each child was special and was always encouraged to succeed by giving his/her best efforts. We will remember Sister Jeanne d'Arc especially for her love of life. People were important to her. During her daily walks on Moore Avenue, she took the time to drop in on the neighbours to say hello or bring a cookie or two. An avid reader, biographies were her main choice of books. She knew people the world over in different times of history. Her humble and constant prayer will remain a lasting memory for all of us. Her radiant smile, even in times of trial, gave testimony to her deep faith and spirituality. The family and les Filles de la Croix wish to thank the staff of 66 Moore Avenue and of Foyer Valade for the kind care shown towards Sister Jeanne d'Arc in the last years of her life. The funeral mass will be held in the chapel of Villa Aulneau, 601 Aulneau Street, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Viewing will take place at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow in the St Adolphe cemetery at a later date. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
