OLIVIA IRENE KLATT (nee MONKMAN) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and granny, Olivia Irene Klatt, peacefully in the early morning hours of April 17, 2011, at the age of 80 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dwight (Penny), Dean (Susan) and Dianna Belanger; grandchildren: David (Sacha), Jason (Sarah), Austin and Tristan; brother Wilfred (Bev), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Campbell and Agnes Monkman, siblings Kenneth, Lawrence, Dorothy and Gordon; and at birth, son Dwayne. Mom was born in Selkirk, MB on July 25, 1930. She grew up in Scanterbury, MB and in her younger years, she worked in Grand Beach. After having her family, she moved to Selkirk where she worked at various jobs to support her family. Mom was a loving, supportive caring person that gave selflessly of herself. The family would like to thank the staff at the Tudor House Personal Care Home for their care and support given to mom over the last several years. At mom's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to The Arthritis Society - Manitoba Division or a charity of one's choice.
