ALLEN ROY MCKINLEY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allen McKinley, at age 60, on April 15, 2011. Born in Saint John and formerly of Moncton, NB, Allen peacefully passed away in his sleep at his Winnipeg home. Allen started his career in 1971 with the CNR as a car man and transferred to Winnipeg in 1988. He retired in October 2007 after 36 years of service. Allen loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and his dogs. Allen is survived by his wife Juana (Loupul) McKinley, three children and granddaughter: Kevin (Kristen and Danica) McKinley, Winnipeg, Erin McKinley (Aaron Robins), Vancouver, Bradley McKinley (Serena), Winnipeg. He is the son of Eugene and Marie (Peggy Stone) McKinley and brother to seven sisters and one brother: Susan (Ralph) Pollock, Edmonton, Sandra McKinley (Randy Reeves), Halifax, Linda McKinley, Riverview, Karen McKinley (Glenn Hicks), Moncton, Beverly (Stephen) Smith, Riverview, Bruce McKinley, Winnipeg, Cathy Northrup, Halifax, Joanne (Stephen) Noiles, Riverview, and uncle to several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Allen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
