JUDI KING Suddenly on Saturday, April 16, 2011, Judi passed away at her home in Steinbach, MB at the age of 60 years. Judi was born on March 26, 1951 in Winnipeg, MB. She was the middle child of John and Olga Citulec. She was predeceased by both her parents. Judi is survived by her beloved son Derek (April), her sister Liz (Walter) Wiens, niece Laura, nephew Josh (Heather), former husband and very special friend Horst, and her best buddy Max. Judi will live on in the memories of extended family and close friends - Donna, Filomena, Wayne, Robbie, and many others she met throughout her life. Judi was born and raised in Winnipeg and grew up in East Kildonan before giving up city life for the country life and making her home in Oakbank, Hazelridge, Anola and finally Steinbach. Having worked at West Fair Foods for 36 years, Judi was preparing for her retirement. The greatest joy of Judi's life was her son Derek. She was an amazing hockey mom and proud supporter of all of Derek's endeavors. Judi had many passions: she loved to garden, bargain shop, read, suntan, and bake. Those who knew her will remember her trademark perishkie buns, cabbage buns, skor bar and ginger bread snaps to name a few. She was a devoted godmother who never forgot a birthday or special occasion. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She had soft spot for all animals and was especially attached to her cat Max who will miss her. Donations in Judi's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., at Seasons Funeral Chapel, 576 Balsam Crescent, Oakbank, MB.

I first met Judi when Loblaw Polo Park closed and she transferred to Extra Foods in Transcona.. we have laughed a lot and shared common stresses in our work in the meat department. I'm sorry that Judi did not have good health during or after her working days and hope that you find peace in knowing that she is resting finally.liz martin - Posted by: liz martin (Co-Worker) on: Apr 19, 2011
