SHANE ERIC OKOLITA June 21, 1974 - April 17, 2011 Shane's family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life. Sadly on April 17, 2011 Shane, age 36, was suddenly taken from us. He was predeceased by his mother Judith (Neduzak). He leaves to mourn his father Eric, step-mom Lyla McLean, sister Crystal Okolita (Mike Walker), brother Danny McLean and his shadows: nieces Anika and Grace Walker. He will be greatly missed by all. Shane was a man loved by everyone who knew him. His smile and sense of humour made every heart lighter and his laughter brought enjoyment to anyone around him. He loved his super heroes (Superman and Batman), play station baseball games, and spending time with his good group of friends. He was attending R.R.C.C., taking a machinist course which he enjoyed and excelled in. Shane was a kind, fun loving person and the world will be a sadder place without him in it. He will be missed. His family wishes to thank all the friends and neighbours for their kind support. We would also like to thank the emergency response team for their excellent response and effort and the time and compassion of Concordia Hospital emergency staff. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. West, Transcona. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Shane's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • He was someone who took me in his home and his family offered me a chance to live there with him and encouraged me to go back to school. He is someone I admired and cherished deeply. Until the day we meet again he will always be in my heart. - Posted by: Robyn Gottschalk (Girl friend at time of passing) on: Jan 19, 2023
