TINA EDNA MILNE (nee PENNER) Peacefully in her sleep, Edna passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. Edna was born on May 9, 1926 in Lowe Farm. She moved to Ninette where she met Thomas Milne, who she married in 1948. Tom and Edna moved to Winnipeg where they raised their family. At the age of 50, Edna returned to school, graduating as a licensed practical nurse. After her retirement from nursing, she dedicated her life to the Royal Canadian Legion, serving as president of Imperial Veterans Branch #84, and in many other positions before and after their merger into Branch #252. Edna is survived by her daughter-in-law Kathy, son David and wife Alexa, son Robert and wife Alanna, daughter Shirley and husband Gerry as well as her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her baby daughter Laurie-Anne, husband Thomas and son Tom. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
