Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILBRAND VAN WYK (HILLY) May 12, 1934 - April 17, 2011 It is with great sadness the family would like to announce the passing of Hilly on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Grace Hospital. He was 76 years of age. He is survived by wife Shirley, their children Deb (Wally), Rick (Darcy), Hilly Jr. (Sue), Randy (Erica), Sandra (Rob), grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hilly will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His life was full of love and laughter and he will live on with those who loved him. We love you Poppa The family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Headingley Community Centre, 5353 Portage Avenue, Headingley, MB. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory may be made to C.O.P.D. or a charity of one's choice.

It was with great sadness that I heard of Hilly's passing. I remember such good times with him and Shirley as well as the kids. I see him sitting in the corner at the kitchen table at Mom and Dad's. He was always cheerful and laughing. I remember too that when I babysat, Hilly would drive me home and sometimes he would give me an extra .50 cents and told me not to tell Shirley. Sorry Shirley! Dear Van Wyk family and Shirley, We remember your Dad and Husband fondly at Hilly and Sue's house as well as the kindness extended in allowing us to be a part of family functions.
