EILEEN MAHALA GILL (nee CUTTS) 1919 - 2011 Peacefully on April 19, 2011, at the Middlechurch Home, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt passed on at the age of 91 years. Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Ellen and Ernest Cutts, loving husband Frank, and younger sister Kathleen. She is survived by her son Griff (Donna), grandson Jesse (Amanda), granddaughter Alissa (Michael), great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madden, Emily, Rhomel and Jhavel, sister Iris Snowdon, nieces Gail and Lesley and nephew Jeff. Mum was born December 30, 1919 in East Kildonan where she grew up and resided until moving to East St. Paul in 1987. She spoke of working at Standard Aero during the war cleaning aircraft parts for the war effort. Mum also worked at Highway Bakery in the early 1960s and at Woolworths uptown. Some of her fondest memories were of the cottage at Lee River and the trips her and Dad took later in life. Mum very much enjoyed fishing at the lake and watching the Bombers play on TV. She had quite an artistic streak, doing pettipoint and becoming quite accomplished in oil painting. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother and for her great love of family. The family would like to thank the staff at Middlechurch Home and especially the wonderful nursing staff on B2 that took excellent care of her. In keeping with mum's wishes, a family gathering will take place this summer to inter her with Dad. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honour may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. You were Always there for us For this we Thank You! You are Forever in our Hearts Alissa, Jesse and Griff.
