DAVID ROSS MCNAUGHT 1945 - 2011 Following a brief battle with lung cancer, Dave passed away at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC, on April 6, 2011. He leaves to mourn his loss, daughters Seaneen Lupier and Darcia Jensen (Clint); sisters Helen Stein (Paul) and Kathy Drinovz (Richard); grandson Tanner Jensen and granddaughter Ashleigh Jensen; nephews Michael Stein (Heidi Sun), Christopher Drinovz, Tim Drinovz and Sam Drinovz; niece Shannon Stein (Keith McKinnon); great-nephew Cameron McKinnon, and great-niece Tavia McKinnon; Aunt Helen Lofthouse; cousins Barbara Siller, John, Lois, Jane, Ruth and Lynn. A gentle man with a quick wit, he will also be missed by countless friends, including Carlene and Jacqui, with whom he was especially close. Dave was born in Hamiota, MB, the middle child of three. He worked for the Royal Bank of Canada in Winnipeg, MB, and Atikokan, ON. He managed the Dauphin Hotel before making his way to Vancouver, bartending at various golf courses and restaurants until he found his way to Harrison Hot Springs, BC, which he called home for 20 years. His greatest joy was found in his hobbies, which included growing and painting gourds, carving fruit and vegetables (for which he won awards), gardening, cooking, and spending time with friends and of course, with his beloved dog Pixie. In accordance with Dave's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family thanks all who participated in Dave's Celebration of Life, with special gratitude to the management and staff of the Harrison Hot Springs Hotel, who hosted this event. Thanks also to the staff at Peace Arch Hospital and to Dr. Cheyne.
