Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS RAYMOND HARTLE The family of Thomas Raymond Hartle announces with deep sadness his passing on April 11, 2011 in Winnipeg at the age of 60. Tommy was born November 17, 1950 in Winnipeg on his Aunt Judy's birthday, and grew up in St. Vital. He enjoyed many happy summers at the family cottage in Grand Beach. Tom loved to travel, he spent some time in British Columbia with his Uncle Jim, Aunty Dell, and Grandma Hartle, but his favourite destination was Negril, Jamaica. He was a big fan of music and concerts; he especially enjoyed The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, and Bob Marley. Tommy was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Kae; nephews Sean Birt and Joachim Proulx. He is survived by his partner Katherine Wear; siblings Ellen (Pat), Tricia, Karen (Wayne), Gary (Sandy), Roy, Nancy, Kellie (Chris) and Margie (Grant). Also many nieces and nephews: Jamie Bowcott; Cheryl, Stacey, Marcel, and Michelle Laporte; Azure, Austin, Jordan, and Teddy Bowcott; Autumn and April Hartle; Ashley, Katie and Megan Hartle; Desmond, Natalie and Rheal Proulx; Jason, Jasmine and John Gilbert; as well as many aunts, uncles and great-nieces and nephews. Tom was an excellent student and a gifted writer. He was a lifelong learner, receiving an award for his GED marks in 1999. He then studied at Red River College for his electrician's papers. Tommy was a creative handyman and jack of all trades. He took pride in his work, whether using the renovation skills he learned from his father and grandfather, or as a maitre'd at the Steak Cellar. Tommy was fiercely loyal and was always there when we needed him. He would do anything for his family and helped all of us with our projects. His many friends enjoyed his generosity and great sense of humour. Tom will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Magdalene Church, 3 St. Vital Road. Canon Bob Webster will officiate. Memorials will be gratefully accepted at the Canadian Liver Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, 210-375 York St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J3 (831-6231).
