Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE (THOMAS) WHITELAM Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Tom Whitelam, aged 76 years, of Selkirk, MB, passed away on April 19, 2011, at the Betel Home, Selkirk, MB. Left to mourn is Tom's loving wife Maeola, together for 53 years; three daughters Lori, Debbie (Matt) Hygaard and Cathy (Keith); his grandchildren Amanda, Desmond, Ashley and Robin; sister Elaine (Ken) Beattie of Burnaby, BC; brother Joe (and the late Doreen) Whitelam of Selkirk, MB; sister Jean (Roy) Gatland of Surrey, BC, and brother-in-law Gary (Mary) Ingimundarson of Orleans, ON, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves surviving his friends and co-workers at Manitoba Rolling Mills where he worked for 43 years, retiring in 1995. As per Tom's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB, with Rev. Deborah Vitt officiating. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Betel Home for their excellent care.
