NICK BIDOCHKA May 10, 1932 - April 18, 2011 With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Nick Bidochka at the age of 78. He was predeceased by his parents Tekla and Peter, sister Pearl, brothers Tony and John, brothers-in-law Mike Lupky, John Barylski, Michael Maksymchuk and Mike Fedora, sister-in-law Julia Bidochka, and nephew Rodney Chomokovski. Left to cherish his memory is his dear friend Kay, his brothers Mike and Metro, sisters Jean Lupky, Katherine Barylski, Anna Maksymchuk, and Olga (Walter) Chomokovski. He also had many nieces and nephews and their families. Nick was born in Shorncliffe, MB and attended school there. Growing up on the farm, he educated himself in carpentry, small engine repairs and was a very successful farmer. During this time, he was a devoted son caring for his mother for many years. He moved to Arborg in retirement and enjoyed living next door to his brothers John and Mike. Uncle Nick was a quiet, contented, honest man. He was a loving friend, a wonderful brother and a great Uncle. He did not socialize a lot but loved when someone would drop in to visit him. He loved to watch movies especially westerns and John Wayne movies. Nick was always a hard worker and very talented. He liked everything done to perfection and took great pride in a job well done. He loved his garden and his yard. He was a wonderful housekeeper - clean and tidy all the time. He was very proud and meticulous with his vehicles. The family would like to extend a sincere Thank you to Kay for all her love and devoted support shown to Uncle Nick. We would like to thank Dr. Siddiqui and all the staff at the Arborg and District Health Centre and Georgina and Sarah for their excellent care and compassion shown in his final months. Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arborg MacKenzie Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. also at Arborg MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Rev. Father Harry Chuckry will officiate. Interment will follow at Progress Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Shorncliffe, MB. FREE OF PAIN, at last! Rest peacefully, Uncle Nick, we will all miss you.
