LILLIAN SHADBOLT On April 19, 2011, Lillian Sarah Shadbolt passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She is survived by sister Ruth; nephews, Roger, David and Stan; and nieces, Barb, Diana, Carol, Elaine and Karen and their families. Lil spent her professional life in the T. Eaton Co. finance department and taught Sunday School at St. Luke's Anglican Church for many years. More recently, she had a close relationship with St. Peter's Anglican Church through her involvement with the ladies' auxiliary. After retirement, her social life included a canasta group, sewing and crafts, travel to Europe and Alaska, and taking courses at the U of W, tai chi and gardening. She was a life-long fan and supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. A special celebration was held at St. Peter's Church to honour her 90th birthday, with many family and friends in attendance. The family thanks Theresa Campbell at Misericordia Place who provided Lil with spiritual support in her last years, and also the wonderful staff on the 2nd floor for their constant care. A private family service will take place at a later date.
