LIDIA MARIA FERREIRA COSME On the morning of April 23, 2011 at Riverview Health Centre our precious mother Lidia passed away at the age of 87, peacefully and with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Gil, her parents and brother. Her sparkling eyes and fabulous smile will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by her children: Nellie, Joe, Leonor (Wayne), Armando (Grace), Lily (Armando). Her grandchildren; Doris, Diana, Natasha, Jennifer, Kevin (Katrina), Armando Jr., Christopher, Tyrone, Andrew and her great-grandson Angelo. Her sister Helena and Al Oliveira and nephew Mario and family. Lidia was born in Sao Miguel Acores, Portugal and immigrated to Canada with her four eldest children to join her husband on August 13 1963. She was a generous, loving, hard working lady who loved spending time with her family and she took tremendous pleasure in helping to raise her grandchildren. Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation for the amazing team of staff on CD2, we cannot express how grateful we are for the compassion and care that you provided to our beloved mother these past ten years. Public viewing at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave. Mass of resurrection will follow at 11:00 a.m. Father Sam Argenziano officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her son Joe, grandson's Kevin, Armando Jr, Christopher, Tyrone and Andrew. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Mom, you were always there when we needed you, no task was too big or too small, with a loving heart and a willing hand for us you did them all. Forever in our hearts, never forgotten.
