Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I never got to consciously meet my Grandpa, I heard he was a funny guy and had a lot of good memories with good people. I have seen so many photos of my Grandpa and he looked like an amazing guy. My dad grew up with him and knowing my dad he definitely did a good job raising him. Im thankful he was there to give love to the people and spread kindness. Im sad I never got to meet him properly and have him watch me grow up. I love you Grandpa. Rest in peace, my heart goes out to you. - Posted by: Cyanne Adolphe (Grand-Daughter) on: Apr 14, 2025

  • I had a lovely conversation with Simone while visiting Winnipeg this summer. I had intended to phone Erick to wish him a happy 65th birthday. I was deeply saddened when Simone told me his story. I wanted to share some happy memories of "way-back-when" with family members who might be interested in reading them. Erick was very kind and always willing to lend a hand. I was in high school when we dated. He used to type my school assignments for me. He always had a big smile. He was so friendly. Our first date was to appear together on a local TV show called Teen Dance Party. Erick had seen me on the show and asked mutual friends to arrange a "blind date" with me. He was so tall and handsome. He looked like Elvis in his best years. Erick had fabulous blue eyes. We used to go to at least one dance per week. In the summer we went to Grand Beach every Sunday. Usually we went early enough to attend Mass at the church at the beach. Erick was an absolutely great guy when I knew him. I was so sorry to hear of his illness and death at such a young age. Peace be with you. - Posted by: Debbie Loader (girlfriend until 1969) on: Sep 05, 2013
