JOHN HOPKINS (JACK) John Hopkins (Jack) age 83 passed away April 25, 2011 at Donwood Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife Virginia and two daughters Cathy and Nancy. He was preceded by two brothers Bill in 2010 and Bob in 1965. Jack was born in Winnipeg and at the age of nine he moved to East St. Paul. He attended school in East St. Paul then went to John Pritchard and Elmwood High. Later he built his own home in East St. Paul where he has resided for 53 years. He worked for Volkswagon for many years. First for Purvis Motors, then Volkswagon Canada, Corbet Motors and then retired in 1968 from St. James Motors. He enjoyed his retirement by building a home in Dryden, Ontario where he enjoyed the fishing and shooting. He also belonged to many shooting clubs in Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place and as per his wish there will be no service. Donations may be made to Oak Hammock Marsh, D'Arcy's A.R.C. or a charity of your choice.
