Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNICK TELEGLOW It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, and grandfather, Nick Teleglow, on April 25, 2011, at 84 years of age. Nick will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 50 years, Mildred, sons: Nick (Gale [Natasha, Colin]), Mitchell (Heather [Meagan, Alex]); daughters: Kim Shepherd (Iain [Kyle, Cameron]), Cheryl Meyer (Ken [Amber, Kelsey]); brother John (Mary); sister-in-law Barbara Teleglow, and numerous nieces and nephews. Nick was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Pearl Teleglow, and siblings Mitchell, Clarence and Olgo Botan. Nick was born on December 6, 1926 in Druskopol, Ukraine. He immigrated to Canada in 1937, and settled north of Ste. Anne, where he helped on his parent's farm. Nick and Mildred wed in 1960 and continued to farm on the homestead with their children. In his early years, Nick worked as a welder, but returned to farming when his father became ill. He was involved in numerous adventures to supplement farm income. Some successful, some not. His legs were his greatest asset. They took him everywhere he wanted to go. Special thanks are extended to the Ste. Anne Hospital for their tender care, compassion and patience in Nick's time of need. Prayers will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 10:30 a.m. at the Prairie Grove Fellowship Chapel, 265 Station Rd., Lorette, MB, with interment to follow at Green Acres.
