JULIA KOHANCHUK May 17, 1906 - April 25, 2011 After a long, healthy life Julia passed away peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Red River Nursing Home in Selkirk, MB. She was truly blessed with strength and a great zest for life. Because of her self determination she was able to live independently at the Knights Centre for the past 15 years. Her life at the Knights Centre enabled her to have many good, caring friends which she truly cherished. We, her family, are grateful for all your kindness shown to her. Julia is survived by her daughter Chessie Todd, her two sons Joe (Kay) Buddy, Walter (Agnes) Budy and daughter-in-law Phyllis Kohanchuk. Also surviving are her much loved 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a large network of friends. Julia was predeceased by her first husband Andrew Budy and her second husband Mike Kohanchuk, her son Ron Kohanchuk, her son-in-law Jim Todd, one sister and four brothers. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 29, at 10.30 a.m. at the Notre Dame Catholic Church, 269 Jemima St., Selkirk, MB with Father Dado Parrenas officiating.
