Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA (PAT) DOROTHY EMERSON June 12, 1922 - April 26, 2011 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved Mother and Nannie at the age of 88. Nannie is predeceased by husband Ronald, son Ronnie, and brother Michael. She will be sadly missed by sisters: Betty (Paul) and Dorothy; children: Dianne (David), Dale (Sherri), Dennis; grandchildren: James (Lisa), Robbie, Gary (Sue), Trish, Calvin, Kelli, Christyn (John), Meghan, Jessica and especially mom's closest and most loving granddaughter Laurie (Lorry), as well as numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. Pat immigrated from England at the age of six and grew up in Weston. She married Ron in 1941 eventually settling and raising her children in St. James. Ma had a colourful career of designing and sewing everything from costumes to bridal gowns. Most of all she was Ma, Nannie and Pat to anyone that dawned her doorstep on Parkview Street or Winnipeg Beach. Ron and Pat retired to Winnipeg Beach eventually travelling throughout the southern U.S. Ron and Pat's lives revolved around being great hosts welcoming all with open arms, a hot meal and a drink. Happy hour coupled with a challenging game of croquet was always open to all and enjoyed by many. Pat resided at Lions Place for the last 11 years and enjoyed many lasting friendships. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mercedes, Rosa and Lions Place staff. A celebration of her life will be announced and held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Pat's memory to Never Alone Foundation Inc.

Mom passed 10 years ago, Dad passed roughly 30 years back. I think of them everyday. They were kind and loving people. They set the bar pretty high. They didn’t have a lot but what they had they shared. I miss them but of course life goes on. They taught me how to work hard, be honest and put family first. I try hard to do those things every day. I wish I would have told them how much I loved them and what great parents/people they were. Love you both, Dale - Posted by: Dale Emerson (Son) on: May 25, 2021
