ELVIRA ARANDA 1931 - 2011 Elvira Nanay Albing Aranda passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the age of 80 years old with family by her side. Born on January 25, 1931, she is survived by four siblings all residing in the United States: Luz Dayao, Nora Silverio-Andrada, Chris Silverio and Vangie Silverio, seven children: Amelia (David) Sustituido (both deceased), grandchildren Nick, Imelda, Vangie and Irene; Letty Wenceslao (Woodee), grandchild Jemy; Precy Ching (Ricardo), grandchildren Priscilla, Richard, and Eileene; Nina Mejia (Pedro), grandchildren Peter and Ronnie; Rey Quilatan (Tessie), grandchildren Relly and Maya; Emy Quilatan, grandchild Kevin; and Mary Jean de Guzman (Rolly), grandchildren Christina, Jhun, Jonathan and Krystal. Elvira also has 19 great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, it was never about her. It was always about her love and commitment to her family and anyone that she had been in contact with. Elvira had a love and passion for making beautiful wedding dresses and clothing for her family and friends. She was also a long-standing member of the Las Pinas Association. Nanay Albing will forever be missed by her family and friends. Lamay will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington Street. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home.
