HENRY CHOY It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Henry Choy on April 11, 2011 in Beijing, China. Henry passed with his beloved wife of 55 years, Teena, and his daughters Marilyn and Margaret by his side. Left to cherish Henry's memories are his wife Teena, daughters Marilyn, Marion, Margaret (David), his son Murray, and grandchildren: Jas and Kian Wong, Benjamin, Breanna, and Brendan Chin, and other relatives and friends. Henry immigrated from China to Newdale, MB when he was 17. He returned to China when he was 24 to marry and returned to Canada with his bride, Teena. Henry and Teena lived in Oakville, MB and Morden, MB before settling in Winnipeg, MB where they would raise their family of four; and also where Henry's Snack Bar was established in the North End, on the corner of Selkirk and McPhillips. Henry will be sadly missed for his laugh, quick wit and sense of humour. A celebration of Henry's life will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul on May 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Manitoba Lung Association.
