WILLIAM JOHN (JACK) KNAPP It is with very heavy hearts the family announces the passing of William John (Jack) Knapp, better known as Mr. Hockey , on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Jack was born September 8, 1930 in Battersea, Ontario. Jack leaves to mourn his loving wife Shirley of 59 years. Children, Brenda (Gord), Jacquie, Rhonda (Dave), Chris (Cori), Barb (Randy), Alli (Henri) and Craig (Kim). Grandchildren, Jason (Tanya), Tamara (Kory), Crystal (Chad), Melissa (Ryan), Adam, Victoria, Vaughn, Jake, Wallace and Carter. Great-Grandchildren, Jaydon, Bennett, Jack and Jonah. Brothers-in-law, George (Edna) and Al (Blanche); special family friend Linda Good; his aunts, Georgie and Joan Knapp; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Jack is predeceased by his parents, Nettie and Lloyd; granddaughter Amber; and son-in-law Dave. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4 at 11:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Marilyn Anderson Corkum officiating. Interment to be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon or Jake's Team at Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
