JULIUS KLAMER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. Julius Klamer passed away peacefully on April 30, 2011 at Concordia General Hospital at the age of 68. Julius is survived by his wife, Alina, his son, Jack, his daughter Yvonne (Patrick) and his grandchildren, Olivia, Tadeus and Adam. Julius also leaves to mourn his mother Karolina and many friends. Julius was born in Poland on August 23, 1942. He immigrated to Canada where he met and married his wife Alina in 1970. He was a baker by trade and worked as a Safeway Bakery Manager for over 30 years. In recent years he has enjoyed spending time outdoors and supporting various charities. He was a wonderful Dziadzius who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Julius was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Ghost Church. He was also a proud and long-standing member of the Knights of Columbus where he volunteered much of his time. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • My belated condolences to the Klamer family. I remember Julius from the River and Osborne store where he was bakery manager for a number of years. As I handled bakery hires and placements, we talked a lot over the years. Julius ran a profitable bakery for Safeway. I enjoyed my dealings with Julius over the years. I remember seeing him at McDonalds having coffee with an older woman, may have been his mother. It is unfortunate that he did not enjoy his retirement years longer. Rest in Peace, God Bless - Posted by: colin dederick (collague) on: Aug 21, 2022
