ANGELA MELODY WALKER After a brief illness God called our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend home. Peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2011 Angela went to be with her dad and is now at rest. Born January 17, 1969 in Peguis First Nation, she lived in Selkirk, Manitoba most of her life but since 2006 was a resident of St. Amant in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her greatest joy was making people laugh and playing little tricks on them. She loved her mom and dad and she held a special place in their hearts. They spent years caring for Angela along with the help of family. Angela was predeceased by her dad Bertram Walker, nephews Edgar Stevenson Jr. and Rodney Walker, niece Desiree Walker, and brother Moses O'meara. Angela will be lovingly remembered and missed by her mother Gertude Walker, all her sisters and brothers: William Walker (Stella), Olga Thomas (Morley), Joanne Stevenson (Doug), Freda Bear (Barry), Maxine Stevenson (Edgar), Debbie Burka (John), Charmaine McIvor (Jim), Mary Anne O'meara, Rosa Walker, Dennis Walker (Maureen), Darryl Walker (Jeanine). Angela's 42 nieces and nephews and 52 great-nieces and nephews will miss her. She will be remembered by many friends at St. Amant. Prayers will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline Street, Selkirk, Manitoba at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 with viewing at 11:00 a.m. and service commencing at 12:00 noon, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 6088 Highway 9A, Selkirk, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to the St. Amant, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
