WALTER PETER ZALUSKY The family sadly announces the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Thursday, April 28, 2011, one day short of his 87th birthday, at his residence in Tyndall, MB. Walter was born on April 29, 1924 at Libau, MB. Over his lifetime he acquired skills such as farmer, mechanic and carpenter. After his retirement, he took up gardening and cooking although his biggest passion was the Libau Marsh, his trout ponds and spending time at the Garson Sport Fishing Park. He will be remembered by his son Don and wife Joyce, granddaughter Angela King and husband Richard, great-granddaughter Holly; son Ron and grandsons Kevin (Jacquie) and Darren (Amber); son Gerry and wife Doreen and granddaughter Tracy Witzke and husband Kelly, great-grandchildren Brynn and Nate Witzke, grandsons Clinton and Ory; daughter Sharon Lucek and grandson Dion Lucek and wife Michelle, great-granddaughters Allayna and Annalyse, grandson Trevor Lucek and great-granddaughter Kaylee; granddaughter Jackie Stamatakos and husband Mike; son Brian (Jinx); and daughter Janette (Scott). He is also survived by brother Peter and sister Stella Zolondek, Francis (Jack) Baird and Violet Cherny, brothers-in-law Ted Berezowski and Frank Martens as well as numerous other relatives. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, son Randy, daughter-in-law Lillian, parents Steve and Katie, brother John and sisters Helen Berezowski and Jane Martens. As per Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. The family would like to thank his friends at Tyndall Manor for their help, support and friendship.
