GRACE GARVEY Sr. Grace Garvey of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul died on May 1, 2011 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston, Ontario in the 79th year of her religious life. Born in Mayo, Quebec, on July 19, 1916, Sister Grace is predeceased by her parents Thomas and Rose (Killeen) Garvey, her sister, Bernice Corrigan, and her brothers, John, Joseph and Angus. She is survived by her brothers, Brother Matthew Garvey, CSsR, of Toronto, and Regis (Dorothy) of Ottawa, her sisters, Carmel Garvey, Mary Burke of Waterloo, Clare Hawkes of Gatineau, Sister Clarice Garvey, OLM, of Brazil and Frances Randall of Ottawa. She will be fondly remembered by her family, many relatives, friends, and by the members of her religious congregation. Resting at Providence Motherhouse, 1200 Princess St. (Kingston), Thursday, May 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with the Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Chapel of Mary Mother of Compassion, Providence Motherhouse on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. In the care of the Gordon F. I believe this is the same Sister Grace Garvey from St. Joseph's Day Nursery in Winnipeg. My daughters were 4 and 2 and I was looking for reliable daycare for them as I'd had some bad experiences.
