DONALD ARTHUR CURRIE 1934 - 2011 On Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB, Don Currie passed away, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Evelyn (nee Stewart); three children, Lisa (Scott Martin), Robert (Anna Hargreaves) and Katherine (Don Horta); and, four grand-children, Tyler and Allie Martin, and, Liam and Sean Macleod. He will also be missed by his sisters and brother, Leonore (Bill Porter), Eileen (Grant Russell), Ruth (Gary Gooch) and Dick (Myrlene). There are many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances who knew Don as a generous, loving man who loved to tease and joke. Family and friends will celebrate Don's life on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the family farm. Don will be privately interred at Knightcot Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Don's memory to either the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
