BRENDA ELAINE ARMSTRONG 1947 - 2011 With deep sadness the family announces the sudden passing of our wonderful sister, Elaine, at River Park Gardens Personal Care Home on April 28, 2011. Elaine was predeceased by her parents Gladys and Thomas; her special angel, Aunt Tootsie, and her companion, Ron Warkentin. She is survived by her sisters Susan Algate (Al) and Debbie Sutton (Mike); nieces Angela, Holly, Stacey and Alieta; Kelvin Francis (Yvette); many grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. Elaine faced more than her share of life's challenges, always with great courage and a full spirit. Elaine never forgot a birthday and took great joy from family occasions, usually asking: Who's all going to be there? Visitors were always greeted with a large smile on her face with an even larger smile in her eyes. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at River Park Gardens, both for their professional care of Elaine and for their many personal kindnesses to her. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation to River Park Gardens Personal Care Home. A private interment has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Elaine's life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12.
