Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE KNIGHT CLEMENTS 1926 - 2011 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of George Knight Clements on May 2, 2011 at the age of 84 at Deer Lodge Centre. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Doreen, daughters Cheryl (Carson), Cathy (Brian), sisters-in-law Virgina Lindberg and Verna Morgan (Sudbury, Ontario). Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents James and Nora, sister Frances, brothers James and Robert. George and Doreen met in her home town of Rainy River, Ontario and married in 1952. They would have celebrated their 59th Anniversary in June 2011. He retired from the CN in January 1986 after spending most of his working career with the CN, early on with CNR, later with CN Express, and finally with Intermodel Services. He was the Driving Supervisor, Western Region at the time of his retirement. George and Doreen enjoyed their retirement years with travel throughout Canada and the USA. Although he never completed his formal education he took great pride, as did we all, in his desire to continue to learn, he loved doing crossword puzzles and enjoyed going over them with Cheryl and took great pleasure whenever he could supply an answer that had her stumped. He loved to golf and had the good fortune of two holes-in-one, both in his retirement years. Special thanks to Wilf, Karen, and Dagmar of Sobey's St. Vital for their continued friendships with him and to the Girls at the Dakota Scotia Bank particularly Ve, he thought of you often. We would also like to thank Dr. Nadine Lecuyer for the care and support she gave him over the years. A private family service will be held. Donations may be made in George's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1P6. What a wonderful man! I didn't get to see him much, but he was always smiling. I wish I could have gotten to know him better. My heart goes out to Cheryl, Cathy and Aunt Doreen. - Posted by: Kim Clements (Niece) on: Jun 06, 2012

Our sincere condolences, Doreen and "girls". We think of you folks, and Ginny and family, often. Business moved us to Edmonton in 1979, but we miss Winnipeg and "old" friends. Can still see George chasing out diaper wearing Glenn. - Posted by: Ed & Shirley Harper (Friend) on: May 07, 2011
