MARY LUKOVICH It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lukovich, formerly of Winnipeg, at the James Bay Care Centre in Victoria, BC on April 30, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Mom was born on August 13, 1921 in Poland and came to Canada in 1938 with her parents and sisters. Mom and Dad were married in 1942 and lived in Winnipeg until 1991 when they moved to Tsawwassen, BC. Mom was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Donna, in 1949, her mother, Anne Baziuk, in 1983, her father, Peter Baziuk, in 1986, her husband, Frank, in 2004, and her sister, Nettie Benzelock in 2010. She is survived by her son, Ted (Joan) and their daughter, Jennifer, of Winnipeg; her son, Jeff (Cathy), their children, Danielle (Brian Bedford) of Victoria and Kristen of Vancouver. Mom is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Audrey Lukovich-Bedford of Victoria. As well, Mom leaves her sisters, Joanne Malbranck of Winnipeg, Ollie Hodges of Cobble Hill, BC, Ellen (Joe) Kondrat of Vernon, BC, her sister-in-law, Mildred Lukowich of Winnipeg and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation has taken place. Interment will follow at a later date at All Saints Cemetery in Winnipeg.
