Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLGA STASYNEC Olga Stasynec (nee Mlynarovich) of Winnipeg MB, left us peacefully on May 5, 2011 at the age of 88. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Garry) Chartrand, Gary (Judith) Stasynec and Lori (Peter) Harke; her grandchildren, Jason (Leanne) Chartrand, Michelle Chartrand (Clay), Brian Stasynec, Jason Harke, Keith (Lindsey) Harke and Kristy (Ken) Skibsted; her great-grandchildren, Connor, Spencer, Thomas, Nicolas, Chloe, Ava-Rose and Kennedy. In addition, her brother Nicholas and many nieces, nephews and friends are left to cherish her memory. Olga was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Ann (nee Lotick) Mlynarowich, her husband Stephen and siblings John, Joe, Annie, Jean and Casmir. Olga was born June 7, 1922 in Pine Ridge, MB where she lived until she married Stephen on May 20, 1944. Following their marriage, they moved to Winnipeg eventually settling in a house on Bond Street. Olga spent countless hours cooking, in her garden, caring for her birds and knitting. She was known to be an exceptional seamstress. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her biggest sources of pride. Olga was a devout Catholic who shared many pieces of scripture with her family. Olga eventually moved to a senior's apartment on Oakland Avenue which is where she resided until her passing. Her family would like to thank the following staff from N1 South at Concordia Hospital: Len, Bev, Shauna and Josie for their exceptional care and compassion during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A service to honour Olga's life will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Following the service there will be a luncheon. Interment will occur at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Birds Hill Park with Father Michael Krochak officiating. Donations in Olga's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society at 45 Hurst, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Romans 14:7-9 None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
