Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBURTON ROY JOHNSTON Peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Meadowood Manor, Burton Johnston, beloved husband of Elma, died at the age of 86 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughter LeeAnn (Gordon) Butler, son Calvin (Cindy) Johnston; stepchildren Emily (Leroy) Barkman, Russ (Bonnie) Friesen, Tim (Bonnie) Friesen, Bob (Janet) Friesen; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother Lyall (Jean); sister-in-law Marypat; and many relatives and friends. Burton was predeceased by his first wife Marie Johnston in 1984; one son Freddie in 1957, and one brother Claire. The family thanks the staff at Meadowood Manor for their loving care and spiritual support during Burton's time there. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg with viewing at the church prior to the service. Interment in Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa at 4:00 p.m. If friends desire, donations may be made to Inner City Youth Alive, 418 Aberdeen Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2W 1V7.
