VERA BEATRICE REMILLARD (nee PRUDEN) December 25, 1919 - May 5, 2011 Peacefully, on Thursday, May 5, 2011 Vera passed away at the age of 91 years. She is survived by her loving daughter Diana Fawcett Syganiec (Les); daughter-in-law Leslie Remillard; grandchildren Rick Fawcett (Denise), Kelly Fawcett-Neufeld (Cam), David Remillard, Chris Remillard and Nicky Syganiec (Darin); great-grandson Carter D. J. Neufeld. Vera was predeceased by her loving husband Noel in October 1988 and her son Bob in July, 1995. Vera was born and raised in Selkirk, Manitoba and later moved to Winnipeg where she married the love of her life Noel. They raised their two children Diana and Bob in St. Vital. Her life was all about family. Vera worked at the Winnipeg Post Office for 26 years, retiring in 1984. Vera enjoyed working at the post office, volunteering her time to help others, gardening and finding a great bargain at a garage sale. A Celebration of Vera's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 755 Lagimodiere Blvd. A special thank you to staff at Lions Personal Care Home - especially Miriam, Shelly and Susan for their care and compassion.
