Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID PETER STUTSKI April 19, 1925 - May 9, 2011 With sadness the family announces the passing of a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Left to cherish Dave's memory are his daughters Karen; Wendy (Hank), grandsons Curtis (Tara), Colin ( Alison) and great-grandchildren Hudson and Jayna; sister Jean, sisters-in-law Josie and Anna and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dave was predeceased by his wife Kay, his parents Joseph and Frances, brothers Edward, William, Sam, Frank, Tony, Lloyd and sisters Eileen, Olive and Gladys. Dave was born in Pleasant Home and attended Plum Ridge School. He met the love of his life, Kay Smigelske to whom he was married to for 55 years. While farming, Dave also worked full time at the Air Force Base in Gimli during the early years. He enjoyed carpentry, ice fishing and was proud of his gardening skills. But his greatest pride was his grandsons Colin and Curtis. Dave faced all challenges life threw at him with strength and determination. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave's memory can be made to Pleasant Home Cemetery or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Hall. Interment to take place at St. Stephen's Church Cemetery, Pleasant Home.
