Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Robert lived down the street from me on Machray. We played soccer together for Ralph Brown winning the City and Provincials four years in a row, Bantam thru Juvenile. We also played midget hockey together for Norquay Community Centre and stopped many a evenings from practices and games at Kelikis Restaurant for chips and Pepsi. We did go to different schools until we got to St. Johns. We were in the same ph ed classes and Robert was in the gynmastics leaders corp which performed at school concerts. I guess that both of us were sort of loners and that is why we hooked up together in sports and supported each other. My grandfather (retired police officer) was a little perturbed that I was friends with Robert. He told me the Kissicks were bootleggers from his days on the force. Bob and I kept our friendship thru playing sports. He moved away from Machray and guess last time I saw him was in the early 1960's. We shared a lot of good times playing sports together and I have a lot of great memories. Rest in Peace Robert. - Posted by: Colin Dederick (school friend and team player) on: Jan 20, 2021
